Our Beliefs

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the infallible and inspired WORD of God – 2 Tim 3:16-17
It is very accurate – 2 Peter 1:20 -21
It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living – Psalm 119: 105

GOD THE FATHER
We believe in ONE GOD.   Deut.6:4
God is Eternal  Psalm 90:2
He exists in three persons – Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Eph.2:18, Matt.28:19,  John 14:6
He is the creator and sustainer through His Son Jesus   Psalm 19:1, Job 38 & 39
Through the Son, He has become our own Father     John 1:12, 1 John 3:1

THE SON
Jesus is the Son of God  Col. 1:15-18
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born by a virgin   Isaiah 7:14
He is the Savior of the world    John 3:16
He died for humanity’s sin, was raised on the third day demonstrating His power over death and sin, and now sits at the right hand of God as our mediator/High priest  1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Salvation for man is available only through the Lord Jesus  John 14:6
Jesus is coming back just as He promised  Acts 1:11, Matt. 24:30-31

THE HOLY SPIRIT
Convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment  John 16:8-11
The Holy Spirit is our comforter  John 14:16
He empowers believers to live a godly life and to continue in all the works of Jesus  John 16:13
He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  Eph. 1:13
He provides the Christian with powerful living and helps the Christian to understand the word of God  John 15:26
All the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today  1 Cor.12

THE CHURCH
The Church is the body of the resurrected Christ  1 Cor.12:27,  Col. 1:18
The Church is mandated to preach the good news of man’s redemption to all the world  Matt: 28:19-20
The gathering of the church is encouraged by scriptures  Heb. 10:25

MAN
Man is made in the image of God  Gen. 1:27
Man fell from grace through Adam’s disobedience and died spiritually, which is separation from God  Rom. 5:12
Jesus ransomed man and restored the grace that was lost in Eden Rom. 3:23-24, Matt. 20:28, 1 Timothy 2:5-6
