An Invitation to Discover Your Calling
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,
“The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man happens to find a treasure hidden in a field. He covers it up again, and is so happy that he goes and sells everything he has, and then goes back and buys that field. Also, the Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man is looking for fine pearls, and when he finds one that is unusually fine, he goes and sells everything he has, and buys that pearl”.
At this time in our lives, my wife was an Ophthalmic Technician and I was an ICU and ER nurse. I was also a lecturer in college preparing students to take the board exam to be nurses. We had a home and were living a comfortable life in America. But we kept sensing the urge to go share this message of God’s grace and unconditional love with those who have never experienced it.
For the past 6 years, we have been serving as missionaries in Liberia, West Africa. We largely preach on the radio. When people hear our message, they invite us into their churches to either preach or teach. Our mission organization is called New International. You can go to newinternational.org and check them and us out.
Sometimes, we have our brothers and sisters sitting in churches with a desire to serve God. The problem is that they don’t know how, when and where to start. They may have the call of God on their lives to serve in some form or another. They just don’t know how to yield to that calling. At other times, young Christians are looking for something to do that may bring a purpose in their lives. Visiting another country or going on a mission trip could be the catalyst that starts the ball rolling for them.
We want to send an invitation to your church and its mission department to come to Liberia and serve the people here in any way possible. There are openings for school teachers, healthcare workers, preaching, evangelism, youth sports, agriculture, electrical, broadcasting etc.
We do show the Jesus movie in 7 different languages all over the city and surrounding villages. Those who have a heart for evangelism, showing the Jesus movie is a good way to evangelize.
Our church, New Hope Christian Church, is in Manassas, Virginia. Our senior pastor is Jon Ulm. His number is 571-334-4041. You may contact him for verification of our mission in Liberia. You may also contact our mission organization about us after visiting their website. You may contact us directly at csannoh@newinternational.org.
God has a plan for your life. Ask Him to reveal it to you.
In His Grace,
Monika and Caleb Sannoh
