October 2024 Newsletter
Hello!
We pray that you are doing well in all things. We have been busy with the new radio station, which is exciting. We have gotten some feedback from the community that people are listening to the station. It is now the only Christian radio station in Magibi County since Destiny closed down.
We have two volunteers that will help with our YouTube channel and Facebook TV. They both went to Journalism/Broadcasting schools, so they are very knowledgeable.
It’s Official!
We are excited to announce that we have finally received our Article of Incorporation and Business License! We started the process last April, and it was approved on September 18, 2024. Grace to Liberia is now legally registered with the government of Liberia. Under this document, we can expand to agriculture, schools/TV, etc. So, the cocoa farming we are engaged in falls under this document. We are also planting bananas and plantains so the leaves would provide shade for the young budding cocoa plants.

Elijah Sannoh encourages fellow teens on the morning show.
We have been testing the radio equipment using only 150 – 200 watts transmission power to see how far the signal can travel. We are waiting for our frequency license before announcing the name of the station and going to a higher transmission range. Currently Kakata and the surrounding area can tune into the station. Since Destiny radio station (the only Christian station in Margibi County) shut down last year, there has been no exclusive Christian radio station in Margibi County.
We have started with a few sound Biblical preachers, Grace to Liberia programs and Bible readings in English and Kpelle. We are getting very positive responses. We have one announcer/technician volunteering with us at present. He graduated from radio/journalism school and is a great blessing to us!

New Territories Come with New Challenges!
Our electric bill has gone up considerably. The government technician we hired to set up the station warned us that the higher the transmission wattage, the higher the current consumption. Please keep us in prayer for provision in this area. We are looking into expanding our solar power by changing to more powerful batteries. The current batteries were fine for our house and guesthouse, but the station is straining it.
Praise Report
Last June, we held a group wedding for 16 couples. Then the rainy season came and things were quiet. although we were asked when the next date would be held. One of our pastors had a meeting with a group of churches in the interior of Bong County last week. He explained the reason for the group wedding and being a Godly example.
Praise God, we have 28 church leaders signed up for our next group wedding in November!! They will attend a marriage seminar that we will be conducting two weeks prior to the wedding.
We watch the news on YouTube and know there is a lot going on in the U.S.A. It seems like there is one thing after another. This is a time to rely on Jesus even more as our Prince of Peace. We are especially praying for the upcoming election. We have been through 2 elections here in Liberia, 2017 and 2023. It can be a tense time and many people pray for a peaceful election. This is the first year that I am praying for a peaceful election in the states; the country seems so divided.
We love you and pray for you!
By Grace,
Monika and Caleb Sannoh
