October 2021 Newsletter

Praise Report
It is always good to have a church family that you call your own (Philemon 1:7).
We received a shipment that included tools,
medication, dog food, and building supplies for the guest house. We want to thank and praise God for giving us a family that prays and cares for us regularly.
Volunteers Needed
We thank the Lord for all who supported our efforts in building a guest house in Kakata, Liberia. The first floor is almost completed; it just needs a few furnishings, but it is livable. Since we opened up the guest house in May 2021, we have had two interns stay with us for eight weeks. One volunteered as an RN at two of the local clinics and the other taught English classes
at two of the elementary schools. They had a profound impact on the staff and children that they served.
We also had a group of four missionaries that stayed with us as they served in a village in the bush. They were here at the same time as the interns so we were completely full!
At the end of August, we had a missionary couple and their two small children stay with us. They are missionaries in the western part of Liberia that needed a little respite. Our regional director was to stay with us at the end of September, but had visa issues. So you can see that the guest house was needed, as we do not have enough room in our house.
The dry season will begin in November. It is a good time to start construction on the second floor, which will be a meeting hall with some offices. We pray that the area will go up quickly.
The next big item we need is YOU! Liberians are willing to work and move forward, but some lack basic training. If you are a teacher, engineer, financial advisor, medical professional, etc, we need you! This was the purpose for building the guest house. Our dream is that volunteers can be comfortable while serving and ministering in Liberia. The length of stay is open to you!
We have four air conditioned bedrooms: two small single rooms and two larger rooms for couples. There are two full bathrooms with running water, small kitchen area, dining/living area, and small office. If the guest house fills up, we have an extra bedroom and sitting area over the generator room which can house two people. So feel welcome to visit us in Kakata, Liberia!
Grace to Liberia Mobile Movie Team
We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the New Hope Christian Church (NHCC) family for making it possible for our Jesus Movie team to have two brand new motorbikes. A current and a former family donated the money to buy the bikes. These motorbikes are used by the team to show the Jesus Movie in different communities, the bush, and churches.

We also want to thank God for the current and former members of NHCC who have committed to supporting us monthly or yearly with their finances. We understand that COVID-19 has made life difficult for a lot of you. But through thick and thin, you have remained faithful in supporting the work in Liberia. There are some of you who go to different churches but do support us with your finances and prayers. We want you to know that we sincerely appreciate you.
